Did you know that Cuba actually had a dictator about 50 years ago? Well you may not have but one of the people who helped overthrow the Cuban government was Che “Ernesto” Guevara. Che was somewhat considered a leader depending on where you live, but majority of people consider Che a leader. The big event that really made Che a leader was overthrowing the Cuban government. Che honestly didn’t like the Cuban dictator, and well he just didn’t like how he ran things either. When finally getting to Cuba he got off the old worn down yacht granma with his other men. Also when finally getting to a little bit farther into Cuba a lot of his men were shot and killed but Che and some of his crew made it out and fled of into the Sierra Mountains. A leader is someone who guides or leads other people and or a group. Che Guevara was a respected leader because he overthrew the Cuban government, had great war tactics, and had great ideas for when things got though.
The first example for why Che is a leader is because he overthrew the Cuban government. One example for why he overthrew the Cuban government was mainly because he didn’t like the dictator or how he was running Cuba. Another example for why he overthrew the Cuban government was because when he finally got to Cuba a lot of his crew were killed. He and a little bit of his crew fled into the Sierra Mountains and kept going. This made him want to overthrow the cuban government even more now. Finally, when Che was overthrowing the Cuban government he had a very aggressive way of doing it. This shows how he did a good job on overthrowing the Cuban government.
Another example for why he was a respected leader is that he had great war tactics. One of his commonly known tactics is when he attacks retracts changes position and then attacks again. Also majority of his war tactics were based off of ones that a spanish war leader used during the spanish war. Another example is that Che actually read a 1000 page book on war tactics that the spanish war leader gave him. This shows how he had some great war tactics.
Finally he was also respected because he had great ideas for when things got tough. One great idea he had was when his army couldn’t deliver fuel for the trucks he decided to walk now although it was cold and hard it was a good idea. Secondly when some of his crew died he didn’t get scared and go home, he and the rest of his crew fled off into the mountains and continued on with their journey. The last example is that he fought for the rights he believed in like not having a dictator. Che honestly had some of the most amazing ideas in history.
